Stage 1

In this stage someone winks at you, shows interests in you by posting a commentary on your profile, or invites you to their network of friends. whatever dating site you're on, they all have similar type features.

What does this stage mean? Not a whole lot. The someone obviously didn't think enough of you or at least not yet to positively take the time and email you. So in our Add/lazy ass community we just click a button or two to let you know we checked out your profile (Usually that's a lie. They saw your pictures and then on a purely physically based decision they contacted you because of that).

Then, we hope the other someone sees that we commented or invited them to our network and they make the next move back or take it to the next stage - to email you. Basically the someone is trolling the whole ocean seeing for a few bites and thinking even a broken watch is right twice a day!

Stage 2

In this stage, someone positively view enough of your pictures and/or profile to take the time to email you their opinions, curiosity, or interest in you using your dating sites email account. This is the safe, derive way because you're not letting that someone into your life at all, and they can only palpate you through that dating site; not your personal email list that you only share with friends, family, business associates, or citizen you trust at least a little.

What does this stage mean? Well, you just let them into your microscopic world a tad bit. Yes, you should expect to receive some biased, or even negative reviews. Every book is not a bestseller. Even bestsellers receive negative reviews. You should expect it. There should be a range of ratings, and most population look at the median rating, not just one poor rating rendered by an unhappy customer.

But, what if you do receive a negative rating, and you don't believe it is justified? What can you do about it? Well, there are several ways you can arrival it, and depending on your situation, you may find success in whether countering the rating or having it removed entirely.

1. Each rating gives the author an occasion to comment. Use this avenue to acknowledge to a negative chronicle if you believe the reviewer misinterpreted something in your book. Be kind and courteous, and brief, but point out where you believe the reviewer may have misconstrued your message. Do not attack! This will only serve to additional any negative impressions and will flame the situation.
2. Click "Report This" next to the comment. Use this avenue if you believe that someone gave your book a bad chronicle based on situations beyond your control, like a negative buying experience. You should also use this arrival if the chronicle is personal, abusive, or obscene. (If you click "Report This" for those reasons, you can also ask several friends and company to "Report This," as well, giving Amazon.com additional reasons to keep removing the review. This process is automated, and if Amazon.com receives nine or more "Report This" clicks, the chronicle should be deleted.
3. If you know the personel who gave you the poor review, you can feel them and offer a remedy to the situation in replacement for removing their poor review. Did they have a negative enterprise feel with you or your enterprise in the past? Offer to make it right; then make sure you do. Then cordial invite they remove the negative review. Reviewers have the capability to remove reviews within 60 days of posting them.
4. Negative reviews are commonly only given weight when they are numerous. If your book has a lot of four and five star ratings, but only two negative reviews, it shouldn't sway sales. However, if one or two bad reviews still bother you, you can outnumber them by asking more population to post reviews of your book (make sure the population you ask are going to post a positive review). Then, two bad reviews out of 100 won't seem like such a big deal to you or to prospective buyers.

As you can see, there are opportunities to heighten your Amazon.com book rating. However, remember that not every book appeals to everyone. Take a look at all of your reviews, not just the negative ones. Do your positive reviews outnumber any bad ones? Are the reviews impacting sales? Do the bad reviews share a consistent message? If so, you might want to go back and look at your book objectively and see if it does need improvement. If not, you can be happy knowing that your book is receiving a higher division of convenient reviews than unfavorable ones, and that's a good thing.

Dc Comics New Line of Titles Going Strong - Now, Bring Back the Justice society of America!

The universe has changed... Again. Is that bad or good? Let's discuss it. Let's talk Dc Comics. I have been reading discrete Dc Comics issues in the new Dc Universe and am impressed with many of the stories.

My favorite characters in the Dc Universe have all the time revolved nearby the Golden Age of heroes. Therefore, I am most interested in what is going to happen with the Dc characters linked to the Justice community of America (Jsa) and the old Earth-2. For those of you who do not know, when the Justice League of America (Jla) was created in the Silver Age of comics, the powers that be decided the 1940s-era Justice community members lived on a parallel earth, Earth-2. Meanwhile, the Jla lived on Earth-1 (Never mind that the Jsa came first and no ifs ands or buts should have been on Earth-1 and the Jla on Earth-2. That's a separate column. Let's move on.)

Book

One of the series I have been reading in the new Dc Universe is the Savage Hawkman. Hawkman has been one of my favorite Dc characters since I was a little kid riding my motorcycle to the corner gas hub to buy my weekly comic books. The new Hawkman title focuses on Carter Hall, the original Golden Age Hawkman. His wife and longtime partner is dead and he is alone. In the new series, the gravity-defying Nth metal harness and wings he wears are basically a part of him. He no longer has to strap the wings on. The suit and wings appear and attach to him when he needs them. This strikes me as very similar to the old X-O Manowar armor from Valiant Comics.

At this point, I'm okay with the Hawkman suit becoming a part of Hawkman. However, it smacks a little of the hawk god story from the 1990s in which Hawkman became part hawk (more or less). The fact this new twist on Hawkman resembles the hawk god is not a good thing. Many fans consider that story a low point. But, as long as Carter Hall remains himself and does not come to be a were-hawk, I'm okay with the changes.

On an additional one note, it looks like the creators are trying to furnish Hawkman with a new enemy. Hawkman has some great villains but only one or two that no ifs ands or buts stand out and are known by many readers. Shadow-Thief and Gentleman Ghost are among the few Hawkman villains to come to be favorite to the masses. The new villain, Morphicius, looks like a cross between a hawk and a werewolf to me. Apparently, he is an alien, which I like. I like that Hawkman has all the time mixed antique culture and alien technology, especially since the Silver Age. I'll be interested to see if this new villain sticks nearby for the long haul. The Savage Hawkman is Written by Tony Daniel with art done by Philip Tan.

I have also been reading Mr. Terrific. The new Mr. Frightful first appeared in the Spectre comic book series and then joined the Jsa. Apparently, the Mr. Frightful in the new Dc Universe is still Michael Holt but he was not a member of the Justice Society. (It has not been stated he was never a member of the Jsa but it sure seems like it.) Power Girl appears in the Mr. Frightful comic but she does not seem to have powers or go by Power Girl. Instead, she appears as a friend of Micheal's and uses her real name of Karen Starr. I like how Mr. Frightful now works out of a space between dimensions. I cannot help but wonder if Mr. Terrific's study of dimensions is going to play into the return of the Jsa somehow. It looks like we will have to wait and see.

I am enjoying that Mr. Frightful focuses on science and all things cerebral instead of the typical punch and smash of many comics. Although, there is without fail some punching and smashing that takes place, especially when he goes up against the new villain named Brainstorm. Mr. Frightful is Written by Eric Wallace with art by Gianluca Gugliotta.

Other titles I have been enjoying in the new Dc Comics universe contain Justice League and Justice League International. I read the first issues of action Comics, Frankenstein - Agent of S.H.A.D.E. And Green Arrow, as well, and advise those titles. Green Arrow is a refreshing take on the archer. He acts more like the Green Arrow seen on Smallville (the long-running Tv show) than the Green Arrow that has been in Justice League for years. The new Green Arrow is still Oliver Queen but he has a team surrounding him and he looks more adolescent than he has in the comics, in my opinion.

I am enjoying the new Dc titles, but there is one lingering issue in my mind: Where is the Jsa? I am anxiously awaiting more news on the Justice community of America like thousands of other longtime Dc Comics readers. It was announced on numerous comic book news sites that the Jsa is returning and will likely be living in a parallel world again. Since that news, nothing more has been said or written about the Golden Age team.

For readers who may not know, the original Jsa consisted of the Golden Age Hawkman, Atom, Flash, Green Lantern, Hourman, Sandman, Dr. Fate and Spectre. More members joined over time, together with Wonder Woman, Superman, Batman, and Black Canary. Dc is development a mistake if they believe the Jsa is not a viable book that deserves to be hurried into the new lineup of titles. I only hope that it is taking as long as it is to get the Jsa book launched because Dc creators are taking care to make the new Jsa book inviting yet respectful to longtime fans.

I am very interested to see if Carter Hall's Hawkman will be a member of the Jsa. Because Dc has Carter Hall living in the same world as the Justice League--at least that is how it appears--how would Hawkman be a member of the Jsa, too? Will there be two Carter Halls on both worlds? Will Carter Hall leave the main earth to join the Jsa or is the current Hawkman no ifs ands or buts living on the Jsa's earth and we do not perceive it yet? I feel Hawkman needs to be a member of the Jsa. A Jsa without Hawkman is like peanut butter without jelly.

I look forward to looking what Dc has planned for my favorite team, the Jsa, and I'll be along for the ride. I do advise every person pick up at least one new Dc Comics title and give it a try. With 52 new titles, you are bound to find one that suits your taste.
